1 year check up and birthday party!

So as I write this on the eve of Livi's one year birthday, I'm sure that there will be more pictures to post tomorrow! I am being very reminiscent of this time last year, and the things that I was going through this time last year. At this time, my water had already broke, and I was in a LOT of pain. AH the things we do for our children, but let me tell you it was all worth it!

So, onto business, O's one year check up did not go so well, but in the big picture, she is healthy and very loved so we are still good. She has not gained any weight since her nine month check up, this is a concern to the Dr. But she has gained an inch! Making her in the 20 ish percentile for height and 5th for weight. Weighing in at 17lbs and 28in! The Dr. did NOT like this, we go back in 4 weeks (now three) to do a weight check and if she has not gained any we will have to do some tests, which scare me a lot, but deep down, I know that she is just fine!

She is so smart! Tonight I was trying to put her to bed and nothing was working so, I finally decided to walk away and let her cry. Well, after ten minutes of her yelling at me from her bedroom, I went in to tell her I love her and give her some more snuggles. I asked her where her noonie is, not expecting a real answer, but sure enough she pointed to exactly where it was! I can't believe how much has changed in the past year, and can not stop thinking about when we first brought her home, how tiny and helpless she was. Now she is much bigger (still tiny) and much more self sufficient (still mostly helpless ;)

WOW! a year has passed! But, what a birthday party we had for the little miss! At first she was very shy and would only cling to me or Grandpa Dale. There were a lot of people in our little house! But, by the time that everyone was leaving, she started to warm up a lot! She loved the cake too! A little shocked during the singing part but she did great!

OH and she did get her first hair cut! Never mind me in my baggie jammies in the background ;)

Hello all!

I seriously ask myself several times a day how can one child be so cute :)

Look at the one picture of our little princess standing ALL BY HERSELF....NO WALLS or any form of support!

She also took her first step today in front of her daddy and me! She wanted to make sure that we were the first to see!

Lately in the mornings she has taken to crawling around after her Daddy, I don't know if this is her way of quilting her daddy or what, but it is so cute :)

thoughts

So this is a random post, about some thoughts....

So when Livi was first born, as a matter of fact within the first few days home, Lance made a comment on how she has so many of my mannerisms. How I stretch, yawn, give looks, etc. I did notice this but didn't put much thought to it, she is my daughter of course she is like me. But, lately (I think b/c of her one year birthday coming up) I have been very emotional about my little baby growing up ( I cried the other day looking at her infant seat and thinking of the first time that we put her in there and how tiny she was...and now I just ordered her big girl seat :()and probably thinking about things way too much! AS I ALWAYS DO! SERIOUSLY! If anyone can cure my over thinking I will love you forever! ANYWAY, tonight I was putting my little girl to bed and realized she sleeps in the exact same position that I sleep in! These things can not possibly be learned mannerisms, they have to be things that you are just born with. This has never crossed my mind before! Crazy! I wonder if she has anything that Lance does? This is such a great gift to have and be able to see these things in her :) I wish that I had a picture of her sleeping like I do, but I didn't want to wake sleeping beauty so her is a complete random picture!

11 months old!

One more month until my baby girl is no longer a baby....then she will be my big girl :( although she has thought of her self as a big girl for a while!

New this month...well, pulling herself to standing and cruising furniture! Always on the go, never holds still and dosen't like to sleep...

She is getting her second tooth soon, but not yet and the first one is not completly in yet.
