a quick update!

OK....so the newest obsession is not princesses....so long Elmo (well almost)

This past week O has gotten her first illness :(  but it was kinda nice to snuggle on the couch together and watch Elmo and Barney all day long :)  She calls vomiting icky burps...just an FYI

Singing is a favorite pass time!  She loves our local story time and she will sing we're at story time read e book, it is really read a book, but read e book is really cute!  Oh and she is in LOVE with the children's librarian Miss Betsy!

We started swimming lessons again and although she is timid she is a little polliwog!  I love it!  She is a kicking machine and working very hard at blowing bubbles in the pool ( a skill they need to perfect to move to the next class, along with putting their eyes in the water...that is one that may hold her in this class until she is in her early teens)

She also started "dance," class this week, this class is a class where Mommy is NOT allowed with her.  Well, except for the first class.  I'm not sure how next week will go, I feel that she is attached to me in situations like this....

She is definitely learning new toddler things, like hitting, kicking, pushing, and yes biting....We are working on all of the above.

She also likes to use the word "NOW," when really wanting something such as today she told me "Aunties house NOW mommy."  Also, working on manners for that one too...one step at a time.

A week late, but hey...thats how I roll :)

Miss O celebrated her BIG 2 yr old birthday this past week!  Let me tell you we celebrated like rock stars....or should I say princesses!

We had a wonderful birthday party to celebrate with friends and family.  There was so much love for my little girl all gathered together at one place at one COLD spot in time.  I loved it all!  I am so thankful to have so many people in our lives who love my girl so much!

Then, on her actual birthday we both took off of work and spent the day celebrating the three of us!  We did get our family pics and O's 2yr pics taken that day too (stay posted for those!)  Then for dinner all of the grandparents came over and O stayed up WAY past her bed time :)

I just can NOT believe that my tiny little jelly belly has now become this cute little toddler!  I must say that I am loving every moment of it all...some more than others (even the terrible two tantrums)

Happy October!

I LOVE this month!  Not only because of the wonderful weather, the vibrant colors that the trees turn, the crisp smell when you walk outside first thing in the morning, those are all great but none of them even come close to this one.....The birth of my baby girl 2 years ago!  Yikes I can not believe that it has been two years already! 

She is growing so quickly!  She is still on the smaller side, but she is growing so much!  I feel like every day I look at her and she is changing in small ways each day.

I can not believe how much she is communicating with us lately!  It is so much fun to have conversations with her!  She can say 5 word sentences already!  Most of the sentences are 4 words, but once and a while we will get a complete thought through!  I love it!  Her favorite thing to do is sing!  She will sing songs, but mostly she makes up songs about her day, what she is thinking, feeling, anything really she just sings...sometime with words othertimes well we will say not words that I or most other people understand :)  But it is so cute!

She has been in a class at the local YMCA called toddler gym!  This class is so much fun for her and I to do together!  The first class she was very unsure and pretty much would not let me put her down. The second class she held my hand the entire time, with one exception where she let go to pick up some toys that other kids did not.  The third class was about 50/50, and I am proud to say the fourth class she barely needed me to be there at all! (although, I would not mind that :) This is great news because next session I will be signing her up for dance lessons.....This is big because the mommies and daddies are not allowed in!  YIKES!  I hope my little monkey is ok with that... We will just have to wait and see...

She has started to say, "I love you," on her own accord this month and man is that enough pay off for any and all of the bad stuff that mommyhood brings :) 

She also makes friends just about everywhere we go!  I love it, we will go to the park and instantly have a playdate set up for later that week because she will find a friend and they have so much fun together!  So even though she is very cautious of new things, watch out world if she is familuar with the setting everyone there is her friend that she has known for years....well, at least that is her thoughts :) I have also meet a lot of great new mommy friends through this process as well!

Tomorrow is her big 2nd birthday party so I should stop rambling and start getting ready for this thing!  The pizzas are ordered, the birthday girl outfit is set out (along with the jacket and hat to match....it was 70 degrees out today....what is the forcast for tomorrow you ask....oh nothing drastic just about 20 degrees less than today...go figure on the day that we plan an outdoor party), the decorations for the park are set up, cake is hopefully ordered (sis's department), now off to clean the house....

a few things i have learned this past week!

If you tell O that princess's and/or Elmo eats, plays, dresses in a certain way, she will too!

No matter what situation you are in, if O is not listening to me all I have to say is "princess," and all of a sudden I have her attention.

IF you tell her she is too little for something, it will only make her that much more determined to do it :) 

a quick post!

So, I'm pretty sure that not many people read this blog, but for those of you who do, this is a great way to keep in touch with out of town family, but it is also a great way to record O's life as I am not so good at writing things in the baby book.  So, some posts may seem uninteresting, that would be b/c not much is going on in our life, but I felt the need to write something down b4 i forget :)

This past weekend we were going to have our FIRST family vaca, just the three of us.  BUT, as usual nothing goes as planned in our life....The forcast for the night that we were going to be spending in a tent was severe thunderstorms....so we ditched that plan.  We did have a fun weekend though!

My favorite word that O says right now is mommydomiter (thermometer) I do make her say it several times a day for my own enjoyment :)

I have also been trying to prepair her for a very important day coming up!  Her BIRTHDAY!  I keep on asking her, "how old will you be on your birthday?"  Her response is mostly an excited arms in the air as to say soooooo big!  This was cute when she first learned it, but ya it is still pretty cute!  Then, when I coach her say two, then she will say two and try very hard to put two fingers up, but mostly it is her entire tiny hand of fingers out spread as widely as she possibly can.

Just lately she has learned to say, "I LOVE YOU," OMG it breaks my heart everytime!  She has been saying luv u, but man it is just not the same.

She also says, "please mommy," oh so cute....I learn more and more everyday how much my heart can expand.

I have had the enjoyment of being O's sidekick for 22mos and mostly her go to lady, but lately her daddy has become a more and more go to guy.  I have to admit sometimes I am a little jealous, but oh do I love seeing thier reliationship grow too!  O's fav's with Daddy would def be having him paint her toe nails :), swinging, rough housing (which mommy will not watch, cause it makes me too darn nervous), and suggles.

She is also learning emotions and thinks it is funny to say no to kisses or hugs for me and then will excitedly say, "mommy sad?" with a big smile....Not sure what that means ;)  But, then she will give me a kiss and/or hug and then say "mommy happy!"

Well, that is enough of my randomness for tonight....AS always pictures!

All this playing makes a little girl thirsty ;)

Just a few things :)

OK so O has been a talking machine!  She is also a reapeating machine!  I can not believe how much she has developed just in the past month!  It is so cute to hear her say so much!  It is also so awesome to communicate with her more!  It has definitly cut down on a lot of meltdowns, can you imagine not being able to communicate....

She is as usual still anti anything baby....which makes it a bit difficult at times.  She will not go in her booster seat at the table, she has to sit like we do.  She dosen't like her car seat, she will tell me buckles hurt. I know that the are not too tight so she will just have to do with that one.
